The ReCAAP ISC, Thai Ministry of Foreign (MFA), National Security Council and the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) jointly organised the Cluster Meeting and Piracy and Sea Robbery Conference 2016, on 13-15 July 2016 at the Millennium Hilton Bangkok, Thailand. The Cluster Meeting held in conjunction with the Regional Maritime Security Conference led by the Thai agencies discussed the legal prosecution process and its challenges as well as intra-governmental and intergovernmental cooperation. 11 agencies from the ReCAAP Focal Points, INTERPOL, research institutes / academia and regional government agencies participated actively in sharing their experiences and challenges. The outcome of the discussions was shared on the second day, with the shipping industry.
